Kamala Sessoms is the principal owner of Sessoms Law Group, LLC, a global immigration law firm specializing in travel, business, investment, and employment-based immigration solutions. She earned her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College and her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law.
With nearly two decades of experience, Ms. Sessoms has built a boutique powerhouse practice, delivering strategic legal solutions for individuals, entrepreneurs, artists, investors, and multinational corporations navigating the complexities of U.S. immigration law. Known for achieving results in challenging cases, she brings a client-centered and globally informed perspective to her practice.
Her notable achievements include advocating at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport alongside Congressman John Lewis during the 2017 Travel Ban to stop unlawful detentions, securing U.S. residency for Canadian television personalities and recording artists, representing Myanmar refugees with complex U.S. naturalization issues to become U.S. citizens and successfully arguing before the Board of Immigration Appeals to prevent the removal of a multimillion-dollar business owner. She also represented a Bermudian Forbes 30 Under 30 content creator to obtain a U.S. visa to work and perform.
Ms. Sessoms is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and a frequent advocate for immigration policy reform.
