LaShawna Hampton is a dynamic leader at Synchrony, where she serves as the Senior Vice President, Credit Life Cycle Leader. In this pivotal role, she leads a dedicated team responsible for critical enabling activities that support the credit lifecycle. Additionally, she oversees the governance strategy for Credit to deliver effective risk management practices that protect the safety and soundness of the firm.
With nearly 30 years of experience, LaShawna has acquired domain expertise in multiple business units, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations. In addition to her primary responsibilities, LaShawna leads Black Experiences+, one of Synchrony’s Employee Resource Groups, an organization committed to supporting and empowering employees through career development, mentorship, and sponsorship.
Outside of work, LaShawna is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she serves on the sorority’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and Internal Audit Committees.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, LaShawna now resides in the Charlotte area with her husband, Kieno, and her mother-in-law. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and close friends, traveling, live music concerts, and comedy shows.
